Pineapple Broom (Cytisus)
Pineapple Broom (also known as Argyrocytisus battandieri) are large shrubs or small trees with soft, rounded grey/green leaves that are silvery beneath. Eye catching, upright clusters of yellow flowers are produced in the summer, that have a sweet pineapple scent. Excellent for growing against a wall. Pineapple brooms thrive in well-drained (even poor) soil, and prefer acid, although they do tolerate alkaline conditions as well. With an average height of just 12ft, they are perfect for small gardens.
The catalogue below is our full range available during the bareroot season from November - March, either in stock in the nursery or, in the case of the larger sizes, available to order. Over the summer we stock a smaller range of potted trees. If travelling from afar, please call or email ahead to ensure what you are after is available currently.
