Delivery & Returns

Nationwide Delivery Options

We offer a UK nationwide delivery service using Royal Mail for smaller items and Parcelforce for larger items. Very bulky or heavy itmes will be sent on a pallet (see section below). The cost of your delivery will be automatically calculated at the checkout for you. Please note: There will be an extra charge for larger or heavier orders delivered to all UK Islands, Highlands and Northern Ireland. We will be happy to quote for these

When you place an online order with us we take great care in selecting the healthiest plants for you from the nursery. Over the years we have developed our own tried and tested packing methods to ensure that plants stay healthy and secure when they are in the post. 

Please let us know any instructions i.e. leave with a neighbour or in the porch if you are out. This will avoid plants being taken back to hot Post Office depots where they can quickly decline. Please open your items immediately on receipt.If you haven't received your order within 4 working days of dispatch please contact us immediately. This is particularly important with live plants.

 

Collection from the Nursery

If you live nearby or are planning a visit to our area, you can choose to collect your goods instead. The nursery is open every day from 9.30am - 6.00pm (9am - dark in winter) and offers a small tea room with a delicious array of cakes.

 

Local Delivery 

We also offer an economic local delivery service using our own vans, and can also deliver large items further afield (within a 50 mile radius of the nursery).  If you are interested do contact us and we will be happy to give you a quote.

 

Pallet delivery

Very large and bulky items such as giant plastic pots, large oak barrels and bulk quantities of compost will be sent on a pallet. Pallets will arrive on a large lorry so the delivery address must be accessible. Please provide us with as many instructions as you can for the driver and a contact number for the delivery day. We will advise you of which day the pallet will arrive but please appreciate that delays may occasionally occur.

Pallets to Scotland and Scottish Islands - please note that if you live in the postcode zones listed below, the cost of a pallet will be £175. This will not automatically be calculated at checkout so we will contact you after purchase to check whether you still wish to go ahead with the extra delivery cost:

Returns Policy

Please contact us first via phone or email before returning any items. If you change your mind about your purchase, or if the item you have received is not as described, you can return the goods to us, with the invoice which was enclosed in the package, within 7 days and we will offer you an exchange or a refund if the product is still in a saleable condition. This does not affect your legal rights, including your right to claim a refund, replacement, repair and/or compensation where the goods are faulty or mis-described. When issuing refunds we are only able to refund your postage if the item was not as described or if the item is broken or faulty. If the return is due to a change of mind, we will refund the cost of the product but not the outward or return postage costs.
