Box (Buxus)

Bareroot hedging available November - March

Buxus Sempervirens

Common Box is a compact, evergreen plant with dark green, glossy leaves, that is ideal for low edging around borders, where it can be kept at 1-2ft high - just prune to desired height in mid-summer in cool weather. Alternatively, Box can be left to grow as a taller hedge, which is affective as a screen. Box plants should be planted 6-8" apart to create a nice, dense hedge.  The growth rate is approx 2" per year.

Bundles of 10 plants are available below. For large quantities and local deliveries please contact us before purchase so we can ensure you are not overcharged on delivery. Quantities of under 10 plants can only be purchased in person at the nursery.
