Crataegus (Hawthorn)

Hawthorn is a very hardy tree which bears dark green leaves, and masses of spring flowers that vary from white to dark pink depending on the variety. Clusters of berries develop in the autumn and can range from red, black, yellow and green. Hawthorn is excellent grown as an ornamental tree and is particularly tolerant of windy, cold and exposed sites. Grows in any soil.
