This year we held a Scarecrow Competition for local primary schools & nurseries. The theme was Book Characters so the children's challenge was to create a scarecrow in likeness to one of their favourite book characters. 

We had some fantastic entries!

The Early Years Nursery created 'Thomas the scarecrow' 

The Batt C of E primary school created 'Goldilocks'

William Fletcher School created 'Humpty Dumpty'

Dr South's Primary School created the scarecrow couple 'Betty O'Barley & her husband' from the book 'The Scarecrow's Wedding' plus Red Riding Hood.

Windmill Pre-school created 'The Gruffalo' 

School Garden at West Kidlington Primary & Nursery School created 'Big Funnybone' from the Funnybones book. 

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School created 'The Crow' using recycled materials. 

 

Harry & Freya created 'The Lion Inside' for Standlake C of E primary
