Lucy’s news from the nursery:
It has been a very quiet week on the nursery due to the roadworks taking place along Bunkers Hill. Phase 1 is now complete…although it doesn’t look much different at the moment. There are some new signs to show it’s a two-way winding road and some overhanging trees have been cleared. It will be resurfaced on the 5th & 6th August so we’ll update you regarding access on the 5th. As it’s been quieter the team have been able to revamp some areas of the nursery & create some inspiring displays ?
We have rounded up some more roses for our popular ROSE CLEARANCE SALE with most priced between £1 - £4 ? Pop along for a bargain! We have plenty of other FLASH OFFERS this week with Hardy ferns at £4, foxgloves now £4 & our £1 clearance trolley ?
Our selection of spring bulb packs have been added to the website for pre-order. Mix & match packs - £4 each or 5 for £18. Due to the very wet weather over winter in Holland there are reduced quantities and varieties of tulips available so best to pre-order to avoid disappointment. We will hopefully be doing our Bunkers Tulip Festival again next year with the varieties we can get ? For the larger bulk bags of 100s, these will be available to pre-order from next week. We offer Nationwide delivery on our bulbs?.
This week’s highlights…sedums, salvias, agapanthus, ROSE CLEARANCE SALE, hedgehog herbs, gaura, nepeta, leucanthemum, perovskia & more!
* Deadhead & feed flowering plants to keep them going longer
* Harvest vegetables & cut flowers such as sweet peas daily
* Prune cherry & plum trees to remove branches crossing over in order to create an open crown
Wishing you all the best
