It has oval, wavy leaves that emerge maroon-red in spring and then fade to green in the summer.
In the autumn it has amazing autumn colour with the leaves turning shades of darker crimson red. a
It produces flowers with creamy white bracts edged pink from June followed by strawberry-like berries in the autumn.
