Marginal and Aquatic plants

These plants thrive in boggy damp soil, some are aquatic plants that grow with their roots totally submerged in water and others thrive on the edges of a pond or boggy area.  Ponds and bogs are a haven for wildlife of all sorts. As well as providing a home for toads, newts, dragonflies they also provide valuable drinking water for small mammals and birds
