Product Description
A mature tree with a girth (trunk circumference) of 6-8cm, current approx. height 8-10ft
Salix Chermesina (Scarlet Willow). A striking, fast-growing, male plant with carmine-red young winter shoots. It produces yellow catkins from March to May, with the leaves. Average height 15ft+ as a tree. Can be pruned to desired height and is often coppiced or pollarded to encourage the growth of young scarlet stems. Excellent for moist, damp areas.
Average height: 40-50ft+ but can be pollarded
Aspect & Soil type: Grows best in damp soil (often near water) but is tolerant of most soils
