Rosa rubiginosa (Sweet Briar) 60-100cm bare root - Single Plant
Product Description
1 x bare root 2yr old plant approx 60-100cm tall
Sweet Briar, Eglantine Rose. A native rose that produces pretty, scented, bright pink flowers in midsummer followed by orange-red hips in autumn. The foliage has an attractive fruity, apple-like fragrance. These roses will grow on most soils (but avoid very wet conditions) and will reach an eventual height of up to 8ft. Hedging roses are good for creating a thorny, dense barrier that has the benefit of bearing very pretty flowers and hips.

Bare root plants: These plants can be planted anytime between November and March. We keep our bare root hedging in tubs of damp compost at the nursery. If you are not planting your plants immediately then keep the roots damp (preferably in compost) and out the sun until you are ready to plant.
