Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn)

Hawthorn, also known as quickthorn is a thorny, deciduous plant which produces masses of fragrant, white flowers from April to May, followed by brilliant red 'haws' in autumn which are loved by birds and insects. Hawthorn is excellent for hedges and laying and can be planted as a single species hedge or part of a mixed native hedge. Good in exposed areas. Prune to 6-10ft as a hedge, or leave to grow to an eventual height of 25ft as a specimen tree.

Bundles of 25 or 50 plants are available below. For large quantities and local deliveries please contact us before purchase so we can ensure you are not overcharged on delivery. Quantities of under 25 plants can only be purchased in person at the nursery.
