Product Description
1 x bare root 1yr old plant approx 30-40cm tall
Amelanchier, or Snowy Mespilus, is an upright multi-stemmed shrub with mid-green leaves, which will form a hedge or a small specimen tree. Masses of star shaped white flowers clothe the plant from April to May, and are followed by purple-black fruit from June to August and fantastic autumn colours. Amelanchier prefers acid or neutral soil, and will display the best range of autumn colour when planted in full sun. Prune to desired height. If grown as a tree, average eventual height is 10-15ft.

Bare root plants: These plants can be planted anytime between November and March. We keep our bare root hedging in tubs of damp compost at the nursery. If you are not planting your plants immediately then keep the roots damp (preferably in compost) and out the sun until you are ready to plant.

I recently purchased this bare rooted plant, it arrived on time, was well packed in damp moss within a cardboard box, it appears very healthy, I planted it straight away. I have purchased plants from this nursery previously and they continue to grow vigorously.
