Product Description
1 x bare root 2yr old plant approx 40-60cm tall
Viburnum opulus is a hardy, vigorous, deciduous shrub ideal for a hedges or a woodland garden. It bears lacecap-like, white flowers in late spring, followed by bright red, fleshy fruit. The three-lobed, dark green leaves turn shades of brilliant red and orange in autumn, making a beautiful display combined with the scarlet berries. Excellent for a mixed native hedge. Viburnum opulus will grow happily in shade, and tolerates wet soils and exposed sites. Average height 5-8ft as a hedge
Recommended planting distance: 5 per metre as part of mixed hedge, or 3 every 2 metres for single species hedge
Hardiness: Fully Hardy
Suitable for: Mixed native hedge, single species hedge, shrub

Bare root plants: These plants can be planted anytime between November and March. We keep our bare root hedging in tubs of damp compost at the nursery. If you are not planting your plants immediately then keep the roots damp (preferably in compost) and out the sun until you are ready to plant.
We may prune 20% off the tops of your plants before sending. This will encourage strong bushy growth
