An attractive perennial with dark, purple-brown foliage and arching stems bearing racemes of fragrant, pink, bottlebrush-like flowers in late summer and early autumn that are rich in pollen and nectar.
Great for adding interest to shadier parts of the garden.
Average height 3-4ft.
Partial shade.
Hardy.
