Named after the Greek Goddess, Iris, Goddess of rainbows, these beautiful flowers live up to their name. Species Iris are smaller than Dutch iris, with exquisite colouring and perfectly formed blooms, when little else is in flower. Dutch iris are larger, later flowering and come in a rainbow of colours - perfect for cutting. All these Iris look their best when planted in large groups, and love a sunny, well drained spot.
