Hollyhocks

Hollyhocks

Hollyhocks (Alcea rosea) are classic cottage garden plants. They produce spikes of large flowers, double or single depending on the variety, in a huge array of colours over the summer. They are ideal for growing against a wall, or to add height at the back of a border. Hollyhocks are usually grown as biennials, but self-seed freely .
