Liquidambar

liquidamber-banner.jpg

Liquidamber are deciduous trees with glossy, deeply lobed, maple-like leaves. In the autumn the leaves turn a stunning rainbow of reds, deep purples and orange. This display is particularly long-lasting and lends the tree it's name. Liquidambers prefer neutral or acid soil, and grow well either in sun, or in a shady woodland setting. Average eventual height 35ft+, spread 25ft+.
