Product Description
Earth Apple. Originating from South America, Yacons are a perennial tuber with an interesting flavour and texture that is juicy and crunchy, a bit like a savoury apple! Yellow daisy-like flowers appear from late summer. Easy to grow in a sunny, sheltered spot. Tolerates most soils although it helps to add plenty of organic matter, such as well-rotted manure or compost before planting. Lift tubers in autumn. Average height 5-6ft. Full sun. Hardy.
