Product Description
1 plant approx 125/150cm tall
Rowan, Mountain Ash. A native rounded tree with greyish downy winter buds that open to dark green leaves, divided at their bases. Clusters of white flowers in late spring are followed by orange-red berries. Average height 35-45ft (if left unpruned). Hardy.
Recommended planting distance: 1ft (30cm) apart in single rows, or 5 per metre in a staggered row
Hardiness: Fully Hardy
Suitable for: Single species hedge, part of a mixed native hedge
Features: Berries, Good for wildlife
Bare root plants: These plants can be planted anytime between November and March. We keep our bare root hedging in tubs of damp compost at the nursery. If you are not planting your plants immediately then keep the roots damp (preferably in compost) and out the sun until you are ready to plant.
We may prune 20% off the tops of your plants before sending. This will encourage strong bushy growth
