Product Description
Common name: Sweet flag
Dark green iris-like foliage with a small, green, horn-shaped bloom. It grows from a rhizome which runs across the ground out of which the leaves rise up. It has been used in fragrances and medicinal cures since Egyptian times. It is naturalised in the UK, native to southern Asia and western North America. Introduced to Europe in the 16th century.
