Product Description

Common name: Lemon Myrtle

An unusual evergreen shrub that is native to the rainforests of Australia and was named after the English botanist James Backhouse who visited Australia in the 1830's.

The leaves have a strong lemon fragrance which is lovely for us and unattractive to mosquitoes!

Pretty flowers with a honey-like scent are produced from July to the first frosts.

Average height 6-7ft (if left un-pruned)

Full sun/Partial shade

Requires a sheltered spot until established when it should be hardy down to -8°C
