Common name: Japanese Barberry
A useful shrub that is easy to grow and provides year-round interest. Deep purple-red foliage has a marble-effect variegation in pale pink. Small yellow flowers April to May are followed by berries. Great autumn colour in brilliant crimson shades before the leaves fall. Works well as a prickly hedge/barrier.
