Product Description
Common name: Filbert, Cobnut
A great pollinating variety for other nuts and it also produces very large, well-flavoured edible nuts. Upright, deciduous shrub or small tree with heart-shaped mid-green leaves, reaching a height and spread of 5m (16ft) in 10-20 years.
Bears yellow catkins late winter early spring.
Produces edible hazelnuts in tubular husks ripening in autumn.
Average height 16ft (if left un-pruned). Full sun/partial shade.
Hardy.
