Common name: Yellow Flag, Flag Iris, Yellow Iris
A common sight along the edges of waterways this native to UK and Europe is thought to have inspred the fleur-de-lis symbol. Forms large, vigorous clumps of grey-green, sword-like foliage and bears golden yellow flowers from June to July. Great for wildlife ponds or growing in a large water-filled container.
