Product Description
Common name: Crab Apple
A spreading tree with attractive dark purple leaves turning red in autumn. Pretty crimson-purple flowers are produced from April to May, followed by red fruits in June that make excellent crabapple jelly. These are also highly decorative and an important food source for a multitude of birds and animals. Crabapples make perfect specimen trees and are suitable for the smaller garden. They prefer moderately fertile, well drained soil.
