A fast-growing columnar tree with large, soft bright green leaves, up to 30cm in diameter.
Panicles of unusual tubular-shaped flowers that are a light lilac blue are borne in May.
Flowers May to June.
Average height 20ft, spread 12ft.
Full sun.
Hardy.
