A tall airy perennial with attractive aquilegia-like leaves.
Very tall airy spires of lilac flowers with distinctive yellow anthers are held on dark red stems.
The flowers tower above the leaves in early summer, creating height without density.
Average height 5ft, spread 1.5ft.
Partial shade.
Hardy.
