These tree ferns have a trunk of approx. 3ft - 3ft 4" tall. They will start to produce beautiful fronds over the late spring and summer. Ideal for containers or shady borders amongst hostas and ferns etc.
Tree ferns (Dicksonia antarctica) are impressive, hardy plants with elegant, spreading fronds, creating an eye-catching display. They are native to Australia and Tasmania and grow happily in our climate with some winter fleece protection. Also known as the 'Tree Fern Emporium' our range of tree ferns is one of the biggest in Oxfordshire.

Tree Fern order and collection - brilliant service
Ordered 3 ft tree fern in March, knew there would be a wait and was kept really well informed throughout, arrival in July. Called to collect, had not realised just how massive it would be, is nearly 4 ft long and 3 ft in circumference, and we were definitely not prepared for how heavy it is! Should have realised when they asked us to move our car to the back of the garden centre! Top marks to the poor guy who staggered out carrying the fern in a bear hug, also for his help getting it into the car and for travel advice about avoiding the fibres it would shed if windows open! Tree fern now in pride of place, seems happy and is unfurling nicely. Brilliant service throughout, lovely centre to visit, very helpful people. Top tip - if ordering a tree fern, bring a dust sheet, plenty of muscle and a big car!
