Acer - Maple

Acer (Maple)

Acers are versatile trees that are best known for their fantastic fiery autumn colours and divided leaves. Small flowers are produced in the spring, and then in autumn, distinctive winged seeds clothe the trees. Best planted in moist fertile soil that is well drained.  Although fully hardy they like a partially shaded spot away from harsh winds which can spoil the new leaves
