Alpine & Rockery plants

These plants thrive in full sun and well drained soil. They are generally native to high, rocky environments and are used to extremes of heat and cold. Alpines are low growing and often produce small, jewel-like flowers. It's worth planting them somewhere where you can view them up close to appreciate the details of flowers & foliage.  They are perfect for rockeries, pots or the front of a well-drained sunny bed. If you are planting them in pots make sure to use crocks at the bottom of the pots and add lots of grit to the compost.
